Brigid is a pre-Christian Celtic Goddess of Ireland, connected with poetry, the forge and blacksmithing, healing, and sacred wells. During Imbolc, a cross-quarter holiday in the early days of February, Brigid appears with a message of fertility and the quickening before spring. In this season, Brigid can teach us much about magic. We can learn from the symbols and myths of this Goddess and embody her magic in our own craft. In this hour-long workshop with Kate Belew, on Thursday, January 15th at 12:00pm EST discover the story of Brigid, learn how to work with her divine symbolism through correspondence and symbolic action, discuss altar building, and craft an invocation to call upon the guidance and blessings of this Goddess.
